When Havoc the French Bulldog Went Missing, His Owner Mobilized an Online Army to Bring Him Home

A French bulldog named Havoc, who went missing for nearly two years, has finally been reunited with his owner, Yasmine Hazeart. Havoc disappeared from his home in North Hollywood on January 13, 2023. His absence turned into a community-wide search, with Hazeart leading the charge. To her, Havoc was not just a pet; he was like a child.

Hazeart dedicated countless hours to finding her dog. She shared videos and updates on social media, hoping to spark interest and gather help. Her efforts attracted a group of online supporters, affectionately dubbed "Havoc’s army," who alerted her about any sightings of French bulldogs. This group became a source of emotional support for Hazeart, especially during the tough times when leads went cold.

During her search, Hazeart even rescued two other French bulldogs, naming them Havoc’s Doppleganger and Mayhem. The breed has gained immense popularity, making them targets for thieves. Hazeart feared Havoc had been stolen when he bolted from her mother’s care. The search took a toll on her health, leading to sleepless nights and stress that required hospitalization.

After almost 800 days, Havoc was found outside a home in Apple Valley, about 100 miles from his original home. Windie Petersen, the homeowner, noticed the dog and reached out to her neighbors to find the owner. Meanwhile, LeRae DeRasmo, a member of Havoc’s army from Las Vegas, saw Petersen’s post and contacted Hazeart with the news.

Petersen and her husband took Havoc to the local animal shelter to check for a microchip. When the microchip was scanned, it confirmed that Havoc was indeed Hazeart’s long-lost dog. The moment Hazeart received the call, she was overwhelmed with joy and disbelief. She rushed to the shelter, and when Havoc heard her voice, he jumped into her arms.

The journey of how Havoc ended up in Apple Valley remains unclear. Whether he traveled the distance on his own or was picked up by someone is still a mystery. Hazeart credits the Petersen family, her online supporters, and the shelter staff for making this reunion possible.

Now, with Havoc back home, Hazeart feels a sense of relief and happiness. She hopes to rebuild her relationship with her mother and regain the joy she lost during the long search for her beloved pet.
