Trump Celebrates 100 Days in Office with Energetic Rally in Michigan

Donald Trump held a rally in Warren, Michigan, on Tuesday to mark the 100th day of his second term. The event felt much like a campaign rally, even though it was officially a celebration of his accomplishments. Trump spoke for almost an hour and a half, during which he reiterated his false claim of winning the 2020 presidential election, entertained the crowd with a dance to "YMCA," and acknowledged his loyal supporters.

"I miss you guys," Trump told the crowd, referring to his dedicated followers known as the Front Row Joes. While he aimed to highlight his achievements, he also took the opportunity to bask in the crowd’s enthusiasm, blaming President Joe Biden for various national issues and asserting that he was not receiving the credit he deserved for his policies.

Among the topics Trump celebrated was his administration’s deportation of alleged Venezuelan gang members to El Salvador. However, this policy has faced legal challenges, with the Supreme Court recently blocking new deportations under the Alien Enemies Act, which has been used to deport over 200 individuals to El Salvador. Trump expressed confidence that the courts would ultimately support his actions, stating, "We are delivering mass deportation, and it’s happening very fast."

Trump also defended his controversial tariff policies, which have raised concerns among economists and consumers. He described these tariffs as necessary to address unfair trade practices. "We’ve been abused by friend and foe," he said, emphasizing his belief that tariffs would help restore fairness in trade.

As the rally progressed, Trump took aim at the media and pollsters, dismissing polls that showed a decline in his approval ratings. He claimed that if the polls were legitimate, his approval would be much higher, suggesting they were skewed against him. "These people are a bunch of crooked people," he remarked.

Additionally, Trump received cheers from the crowd when he jokingly suggested he might run for a third term, despite the constitutional limits on presidential terms. "They used to say — the fake news — ‘To be a great president, you have to serve two terms,’" he said. The crowd responded enthusiastically, with some chanting for a third term.

Throughout the rally, Trump reiterated his criticisms of Biden, blaming him for high inflation and other national challenges. He even polled the audience on which nickname for Biden they preferred: "Crooked Joe" or "Sleepy Joe."

As the event concluded, Trump’s supporters held up a banner reading "Trump 2028," signaling their desire for him to run again in the future. The atmosphere was electric, with many attendees eager for Trump to continue his political journey.
