The highly anticipated lineup for the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show has been revealed, featuring a star-studded roster of performers that pays homage to the rich musical heritage of New Orleans, where the event will take place. Headlining the halftime show will be Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar, who was announced as the main act last September. Lamar, known for his electrifying performances, expressed his excitement through a video where he showcased his football skills while promoting the event.

In a statement, Seth Dudowsky, the NFL’s head of music, emphasized the significance of the performers’ connection to New Orleans, stating, "We’re honored to work with this year’s pregame lineup to celebrate the rich musical legacy of New Orleans and the entire state." This year’s show promises to bring the vibrant sounds of the region to a global audience as part of Super Bowl LIX.

Joining Lamar on the grand stage will be Jon Batiste, a New Orleans native and acclaimed musician, who is set to perform the national anthem. Batiste, a 22-time Grammy nominee and Oscar winner for his work on the film "Soul," has recently released his eighth studio album, "Beethoven Blues (Batiste Piano Series, Vol. 1)."

Additionally, popular Christian artist Lauren Daigle will perform "America the Beautiful," accompanied by fellow New Orleans musician Trombone Shorty, known for his genre-blending style. Daigle has achieved significant success with her album "Look Up Child," which includes the hit single "You Say," certified six-times platinum.

The pregame festivities will also feature R&B singer Ledisi, who will sing "Lift Every Voice and Sing." A New Orleans native herself, Ledisi has received multiple Grammy nominations throughout her career and is known for her powerful vocals and soulful performances.

Fans can expect a celebration that not only highlights the talents of these artists but also showcases the cultural richness of New Orleans, making Super Bowl LIX a memorable event.
