Sean Diddy Combs Declines Plea Agreement in Sex Trafficking Case

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has turned down a plea deal in his upcoming trial, where he faces serious charges including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution. During a court hearing on Thursday, Judge Arun Subramanian asked Combs if he would accept the deal proposed by federal prosecutors, which could have reduced his potential prison time if he were found guilty. Combs responded firmly, saying, “Yes, I do, your honor.”

If convicted on all counts, the 55-year-old Combs could face a life sentence. The racketeering charge alone carries a maximum penalty of life in prison, while the sex trafficking charge has a minimum sentence of 15 years and can also lead to life behind bars. The specific terms of the plea agreement were not revealed.

Combs was arrested and indicted last year following a lawsuit from his former partner, Casandra Ventura. She accused him of running a series of drug-fueled parties and engaging in years of physical and sexual abuse. Although Combs settled that lawsuit quickly, many others came forward with similar allegations, leading to a federal investigation and a major raid on his properties in Los Angeles and Miami.

Combs has denied all the charges against him and has pleaded not guilty, including to new counts added in a recent indictment. Jury selection is set to begin on Monday, with opening statements scheduled for May 12. The outcome of this case could have significant implications for Combs, both personally and professionally.
