Russia and Ukraine have ramped up their military actions against each other shortly after a call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and former U.S. President Donald Trump. This escalation comes despite Putin’s earlier statement that Russia would stop targeting Ukrainian energy sites.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russian forces struck civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, just hours after the call. He accused Putin of effectively rejecting a full ceasefire, which had been a point of discussion during the conversation with Trump.
