President Trump and First Lady Melania Host White House Egg Roll: "Easter is Special"

On April 21, 2025, the White House hosted its annual Easter Egg Roll, a cherished tradition that brings families together to celebrate the holiday. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed over 30,000 visitors to the South Lawn for a day filled with fun and festivities.

The event featured classic activities like the egg roll itself, where children raced to roll eggs across the lawn. This year, there were also new attractions, including a Be Best Military Card Writing Station, Be Best Hop Scotch, and a cozy Reading Nook for storytime. Children enjoyed hands-on activities like flower bouquet building, cookie decorating, and playing soccer, while families took advantage of various photo opportunities throughout the grounds.

The day began with President Trump and First Lady Melania speaking from the South Portico, accompanied by an Easter bunny. President Trump expressed his joy for the occasion, saying, "A very happy Easter to everyone." He highlighted the beautiful weather, noting that it was a great day for the festivities.

Donald Trump Jr. was also present, bringing along his five children. The family enjoyed the event together, with plenty of laughter and smiles. President Trump added a light-hearted moment by joking about a past incident involving the Easter bunny and former President Joe Biden.

As the day continued, the president and first lady participated in various activities, including coloring with children and enjoying the cheerful atmosphere. Melania Trump read the book "Bunny with a Big Heart" to a group of kids, sharing important lessons about friendship and kindness.

Music filled the air as performances from military bands entertained the crowd. Children were delighted by a special appearance from popular children’s performer "Go with YoYo."

This year’s Easter Egg Roll was not just a fun day out; it also emphasized community and togetherness. Each child who attended received a souvenir wooden egg to remember the day. Attendees were selected through an online lottery, which closed on March 10.

As the event wrapped up, the Trumps reflected on the importance of Easter, honoring the spirit of the holiday and the values it represents. The Easter Egg Roll remains a joyful celebration that brings families together, creating lasting memories in the heart of the nation.
