Pope Misses Third Consecutive Week at St. Peters Square

The Pope expressed gratitude for the support and affection from Catholics worldwide. He shared that he felt uplifted by their love during his time of rest. Vatican updates mentioned that Pope Francis had a peaceful night and a morning routine that included therapy, breakfast, and reading the news. Visitors, including Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Parolin and Monsignor Pena Parra, were allowed to see him in the hospital. Despite a breathing crisis on Friday, the Pope’s condition stabilized by Saturday evening, with no fever and improved breathing. In his Sunday Angelus, he prayed for peace in troubled regions like Ukraine, Palestine, and Israel. Unlike the usual Sunday gathering at St Peter’s Square, the Pope resides in the simpler Vatican Santa Marta guest house.
