Kanye West Amazes Audiences with iPhone-Recorded Super Bowl Commercial

Viewers of this year’s Super Bowl were treated to an unusual advertisement featuring rapper Kanye West, which was filmed entirely on an iPhone while he reclined in a dentist’s chair. The commercial, described by The Hollywood Reporter as a "local buy," displayed West’s footage flanked by two white screens that urged viewers to visit Yeezy.com.

In the ad, West humorously remarked, “I spent like all the money for the commercial on these new teeth,” proudly showcasing his diamond-encrusted dental work. He then reiterated the call to action, saying, “Once again I had to shoot it on the iPhone. Um… Um… Go to Yeezy.com.”

The Yeezy.com website currently features a limited selection of merchandise, primarily consisting of clothing and music items, including CDs and vinyl records. Notably, it prominently displays a white t-shirt emblazoned with a black swastika, which has drawn significant attention and controversy.

About an hour prior to the ad airing, West took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his frustrations with social media limitations, stating, “MY TWITTER REACH HAS BEEN LIMITED SO I AM NOT ALLOWED TO TREND DOING SUPER BOWL. I AM SETTING UP A DISCORD CHANNEL ON MY WEBSITE WELCOME TO AMERICA.” Shortly after the Super Bowl, he deactivated his X account.

Milo Yiannopoulos, who manages West’s talent, confirmed the deactivation of the rapper’s account and invited journalists to direct inquiries to his management firm.

This peculiar commercial came just a week after West made headlines at the Grammy Awards, where he made a striking appearance with his wife, Bianca Censori, who was dressed in a fully nude outfit. This marked West’s return to the spotlight following a tumultuous period that included a series of controversial statements and actions, including an antisemitic outburst in 2022 and a recent sexual assault allegation.

In addition to his Super Bowl ad, West has stirred controversy on social media with provocative comments, including a recent statement about former Vice President Kamala Harris, which he later deleted and apologized for. He also sparked outrage by expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler and declaring, “I’m a Nazi.”

As West continues to navigate the complexities of his public persona, his latest commercial and social media antics keep him firmly in the public eye, raising questions about his influence and the messages he chooses to promote.
