Jennifer Garner recently opened up about her views on aging and beauty in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. The 53-year-old actress shared her experiences with cosmetic procedures, particularly Botox, and how she feels about her appearance as she gets older.
Garner revealed that she has tried Botox but wasn’t happy with the results. She advised others to be cautious when considering injectables, suggesting that finding a skilled professional is essential. "I don’t do a ton, and Botox doesn’t work very well for me; that’s why I wear bangs a lot," she said. She values being able to express herself through her facial movements, noting, "I like to be able to move my forehead; it’s such a big part of my face."
Despite her experiences, Garner is not completely against the idea of cosmetic surgery. She mentioned that while she hasn’t felt the need for it yet, she has asked doctors if she should consider it. Their responses have been reassuring, as they have told her she doesn’t need any procedures at this time. "I don’t judge whatever makes anyone look or feel their best," she added, acknowledging that everyone has their own journey with beauty.
Garner also reflected on the importance of sunscreen in maintaining a youthful look. She expressed gratitude for having started sun protection early in life, saying, "I can tell you, the products have only gotten better, every single iteration, every single year, and I’m grateful for them now that I’m in my 50s."
In her conversation with Harper’s Bazaar, she also discussed her relationship with her physical appearance. Garner shared that she does not spend much time worrying about how she looks. "Part of the gift of being my mother’s daughter is that I haven’t spent a lot of time stressing about my physical appearance," she explained. She believes that focusing too much on looks can be counterproductive and that aging is a natural part of life.
Garner emphasized that she is content with her age and the wisdom that comes with it. "I’m very grateful to be exactly this age," she said. She encourages others to embrace aging and see it as a gift rather than something to fear. Her positive outlook is a refreshing reminder that beauty comes in many forms and that self-acceptance is key.
