Infant Critically Injured in Fatal Double Collision on Southern California Freeway

A tragic rollover crash on the westbound 60 Freeway in Southern California early Monday morning resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left two others, including an infant, seriously injured. The accident occurred around 2 a.m. just west of the Ramona Avenue on-ramp, as reported by the Chino Valley Fire District.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the vehicle wrecked on an embankment beside the highway. Unfortunately, two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. Footage from the incident showed the mangled wreckage, highlighting the severity of the crash.

Authorities indicated that the infant and another person were trapped in the debris and had to be extricated. They were both transported to a nearby trauma center with major injuries.

Following the incident, westbound lanes of the 60 Freeway were temporarily closed as investigators worked to determine the cause of the crash. The California Highway Patrol is currently leading the investigation, seeking to gather more information about the circumstances surrounding this devastating event.
