Infant Critically Hurt in Fatal Double Collision on Southern California Freeway

A tragic rollover crash on the westbound 60 Freeway early Monday resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left two others, including an infant, seriously injured. The accident occurred around 2 a.m., just west of the Ramona Avenue onramp, according to reports from the Chino Valley Fire District.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene to find the wreckage of a vehicle off the highway, where two people were pronounced dead. Footage from the incident shows the mangled remains of the car on an embankment beside the road. The California Highway Patrol indicated that an infant was discovered among the debris and was promptly transported to a nearby trauma center with significant injuries.

In addition to the infant, another person found in the vehicle was also taken to the hospital for treatment of major injuries. The westbound lanes of the freeway were temporarily closed as authorities conducted their investigation into the cause of the crash.
