Homan: Most Dangerous Criminals Should Be Deported to El Salvador Prison to Safeguard American Citizens

Tom Homan, a key figure in border security during the Trump administration, recently criticized Senate Democrats for their planned visit to Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a deported MS-13 suspect, in an El Salvador prison. Homan, who appeared on "Fox & Friends," expressed his outrage over the Democrats’ actions, calling them "disgusting." He pointed out that while they focus on this visit, they have not addressed the murder of Rachel Morin, which he believes should take precedence.

Homan, who has decades of experience in border security, defended the practice of sending dangerous criminals to the notorious Terrorist Confinement Center (CECOT) in El Salvador. He argued that his long career has shown him the severe threats posed by gang members, emphasizing the need to protect American citizens. "If people wore my shoes for the last 40 years and seen the travesties I’ve seen, they would understand that the worst of the worst need to be sent to a prison like that," he stated.

The Trump administration’s policy to deport "the worst of the worst" has sparked significant controversy. Critics, including some Democrats, have accused the administration of unfairly targeting individuals for deportation without due process. Homan defended the deportation of Garcia, asserting that he is indeed a member of MS-13 and that his removal was justified.

Recently, Senator Chris Van Hollen from Maryland traveled to El Salvador to meet with Garcia, raising further tensions. Homan and other Trump officials argue that Garcia’s deportation was lawful, while Democrats claim it violated his rights.

This ongoing debate highlights the deep divisions in U.S. immigration policy, especially concerning how to handle dangerous gang members and the legal processes surrounding their deportation. As discussions continue, the focus remains on balancing national security with individual rights.
