Eight Injured as Frustrated Customer Crashes into Inglewood Car Dealership Showroom

Eight people were injured Saturday afternoon when a customer drove his car into the showroom of a CarMax dealership in Inglewood. The incident happened shortly after 2 p.m. on South La Cienega Boulevard. Authorities reported that the driver had been involved in a dispute with dealership staff just before the crash.

Among the injured, two individuals were taken to trauma centers with critical injuries. Both customers and employees were struck during the chaotic scene. Fortunately, police confirmed that there were no fatalities.

Witnesses shared their accounts of the event. A customer shopping for a car saw the man arguing with staff and waving a metal water bottle. He then jumped on the roof of a car outside before speeding away. Video footage posted on social media shows the vehicle backing into the showroom as people scrambled to escape.

After the incident, the suspect fled the scene but later turned himself in at a nearby Los Angeles Police Department training center, according to Inglewood Police Sgt. Cesar Jurado.

CarMax expressed its concern in a statement, emphasizing the safety of its employees and customers. The company is cooperating with law enforcement as the investigation continues. They expressed sadness over the event and sympathy for those affected.
