Former Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway recently spoke out about the rising protests against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the administration’s plans to ramp up efforts to detain and deport illegal immigrants. During her appearance, she highlighted what she called an "epidemic" of Democrats ignoring the immigration situation.

In response to accusations that immigration authorities unfairly target individuals based on their skin color, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a strong rebuttal. They labeled these claims as "disgusting and categorically false." DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin emphasized that enforcement actions focus on individuals who are in the U.S. illegally, not on their race. She urged politicians and activists to tone down their rhetoric, noting that such accusations have contributed to a concerning rise in assaults on ICE officers.
The DHS further clarified that their operations are carefully planned and that officers are trained to assess individuals’ immigration status based on specific criteria, not race. McLaughlin stated, "What makes someone a target is if they are in the United States illegally."
President Trump has also weighed in on the issue. He expressed his support for ICE in a recent post on Truth Social, directing them to intensify their efforts to carry out what he described as the largest mass deportation in U.S. history.
