Comedian Paul Rodriguez Taken into Custody for Drug Possession

Comedian Paul Rodriguez was arrested on March 28, 2025, during a traffic stop in Burbank, California. The Burbank Police Department reported that Rodriguez was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for code violations. During the stop, police found narcotics, leading to Rodriguez’s arrest for possession.

His lawyer, Bobby Samini, strongly denied the charges. He stated that the allegations lack any basis and insisted that Rodriguez was not in possession of any drugs and was not under the influence at the time of the stop. Samini added that Rodriguez cooperated fully with law enforcement throughout the incident.

Following his arrest, Rodriguez was booked at the Burbank Police Jail but was released with a citation to appear in court on April 25, 2025. Samini also mentioned that the treatment Rodriguez received during the arrest violated his civil rights, and they are eager to prove his innocence in court.

Rodriguez is well-known for his stand-up comedy and has appeared in various films and television shows, including "Tortilla Soup" and "Beverly Hills Chihuahua." His recent arrest has drawn attention, but his legal team is confident that they will clear his name.
