Burglars Loot Woody Harrelson and Bill Mahers West Hollywood Cannabis Dispensary

Actor Woody Harrelson and comedian Bill Maher’s cannabis dispensary, The Woods, in West Hollywood was hit by burglars early Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. when five men smashed the front window of the store located at 8271 Santa Monica Blvd. They quickly stole cannabis products and fled the scene in a black sedan, according to a watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities are still working to determine the total value of the stolen items. The Woods features a cannabis consumption lounge, private smoking cabanas, a bar offering cannabis-infused drinks, and a vibrant outdoor area known as the Ganja Giggle Garden. The dispensary, which opened in 2022, spans 8,000 square feet and had become a popular spot for cannabis enthusiasts.

A security camera video shared on social media shows the suspects wearing hoodies and masks as they broke into the store and filled bags with merchandise. This burglary comes just two days after an attempted break-in at another dispensary, Erba Markets, which is co-founded by the same individuals behind The Woods. However, it remains unclear if the two incidents are connected.

In a related incident, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a shooting call at 4:26 a.m. on the same Saturday morning. This occurred when suspects attempted to break into the Erba Markets dispensary, leading a security guard to open fire after they approached with crowbars.

The spate of burglaries highlights ongoing concerns about security at cannabis businesses in the area. As the popularity of these dispensaries grows, so does the risk of criminal activity targeting them.
