Trump Ends Secret Service Protection for Bidens Adult Children, Hunter and Ashley

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem officially swore in Sean Curran as the new director of the Secret Service during a ceremony in the Oval Office. This event comes at a time of significant changes regarding security details for the Biden family.

Recently, former President Donald Trump announced that Hunter Biden and his sister Ashley would no longer receive Secret Service protection. In a post on Truth Social, Trump criticized the number of agents assigned to protect Hunter, claiming there were as many as 18 on his detail. He deemed this excessive and stated that the protection would end immediately.

The Secret Service confirmed they were aware of Trump’s decision and are working to comply with it. They stated they would coordinate with the White House to ensure a smooth transition of security details.

While former presidents and their spouses receive lifetime protection, the law stipulates that immediate family members over the age of 16 lose their protection once the president leaves office. Both Trump and Biden had extended security for their children for six months after leaving the White House.

In his remarks, Trump also highlighted that Ashley Biden had 13 agents assigned to her security. The decision to revoke their protection has raised eyebrows, especially as it reflects a broader trend regarding security for political families.

In related news, Trump commented on Biden’s vacation in South Africa, where he criticized the country’s land reform laws and its support for groups like Hamas. He stated that due to these issues, South Africa would no longer receive U.S. economic assistance.

As these developments unfold, the implications for the Biden family and their security arrangements remain to be seen.
