Democrats Blame Trump for L.A. Riots: Claim Law Enforcement is the Cause

Riots have erupted in Los Angeles, and Democratic leaders are pointing fingers at former President Donald Trump. They blame him for the unrest, claiming his actions, like arresting illegal immigrants and deploying the California National Guard, have sparked the violence.

Local leaders, mostly Democrats, have not taken responsibility for the situation. Instead, they have focused their criticism on law enforcement, which some argue has been undermined during these events. Governor Gavin Newsom has been active on social media, attacking Trump and discussing whether videos of burning police cars are from the current riots or from past protests, such as the Black Lives Matter demonstrations in 2020.

Newsom has made headlines by stating on MSNBC that Trump has "manufactured" this crisis. This tactic of blaming Trump is not new for California Democrats. In 2016, the mayor of San Jose did the same when riots broke out against Trump supporters attending a rally.

It remains uncertain if this blame game is resonating with the public, but it appears that Democratic leaders are committed to their stance. The ongoing situation raises questions about accountability and the role of leadership in times of unrest.
