"Sopranos" and "Bad Boys" Star Joe Pantoliano Contemplates Relocating to Portugal Due to Trump: "I Want to Escape"

Actor Joe Pantoliano, known for his role as Ralph Cifaretto on "The Sopranos," has shared his thoughts about possibly leaving the United States for Portugal. Following the election win of Donald Trump, Pantoliano expressed feeling uneasy about the current state of affairs in the country. In an interview with Page Six, he stated, "I’m so uncomfortable with the nature of what’s happening in our country, and I just want to run for the hills."

Pantoliano recently visited Portugal with his wife, Nancy. During their trip, the couple explored the idea of obtaining visas to live there part-time or even most of the time. He described their experience in Portugal as wonderful and mentioned that it could be a great place to retire.

This sentiment is not unique to Pantoliano. Other celebrities, like Eva Longoria and Rosie O’Donnell, have also voiced their concerns about living in the U.S. since Trump’s election. O’Donnell revealed that she moved to Ireland with her child, stating that it was a decision she never thought she would make. Longoria, on the other hand, has been splitting her time between Mexico and Spain, expressing worries about the future of the U.S. under Trump’s leadership.

As more public figures express their discomfort and consider relocating, it raises questions about the impact of political climates on personal choices and lifestyles. For Pantoliano and others, the idea of moving abroad seems to be a way to find peace amid the chaos they feel at home.
