Mesa Police Probe Potential Arson at Tesla Dealership by Illiterate Criminals

An overnight fire at a Tesla dealership in Mesa, Arizona, is under investigation as a possible case of arson. Local police are looking into the incident, which occurred early Monday morning. When officers arrived, they found a Tesla Cybertruck had been set ablaze, and the building had been vandalized with the misspelled word “THEIF” spray-painted on its side.

The fire was reported at a Tesla dealership located near Southern Avenue and Sossaman Roads. While the exact cause of the fire is still being determined, police have stated they are treating it as a potential act of arson. Federal investigators have also joined the scene to assist in the inquiry.

If confirmed as arson, this incident would add to a concerning trend of attacks on Tesla facilities across the United States. Recently, there has been a rise in incidents targeting the electric vehicle company, which is led by billionaire Elon Musk. These attacks are reportedly linked to political tensions surrounding Musk’s associations, particularly with the Trump administration.

In a related case, a 19-year-old student named Owen McIntire faces federal charges for allegedly firebombing a Tesla dealership in Kansas City during his spring break in March. He has been charged with possessing an unregistered destructive device and malicious damage by fire. During that incident, a police officer noticed smoke from a Cybertruck and found a Molotov cocktail nearby. The fire damaged two vehicles, totaling over $200,000 in losses.

Another recent case involved a man named Paul Hyon Kim, who has been charged with multiple offenses after a firebombing at a Tesla Collision Center in Las Vegas. This attack resulted in several vehicles being set on fire and damage to property. Investigators linked Kim to the crime through DNA evidence and surveillance footage.

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has issued a stern warning to anyone considering similar acts. She emphasized that those who attempt to firebomb Tesla properties will be caught, prosecuted, and face severe consequences.

As investigations continue into the Mesa incident, the community remains on alert for further developments in this troubling pattern of violence against Tesla and its facilities.
