Three men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man during a home invasion robbery in Woodland Hills. The Los Angeles Police Department reported the incident occurred early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to an emergency call just before 1 a.m. in the 22200 block of De La Osa Street, near Woodland Hills Elementary School. Upon arrival, they found 47-year-old Aleksandre Modebadze suffering from a head injury. Despite efforts to save him, Modebadze was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators later determined that the suspects had entered Modebadze’s home, assaulted him, and held him captive while stealing his belongings.
By late Saturday, police arrested three suspects: 38-year-old Paata Kochyashvili, 46-year-old Zaza Otarashvili, and 52-year-old Besiki Khutsishvili. All three are being held on suspicion of murder, with bail set at $2 million each.
As of now, none of the suspects have publicly commented on the allegations, and it is unclear if they have legal representation. The LAPD is urging anyone with information about the case to contact their Operation Valley Bureau.
