Two Killed, Five Injured in Tesla Collision with Orange County Transit Bus

Two people lost their lives in a tragic accident in Fullerton on Saturday morning. A Tesla ran a red light on East Orangethorpe Avenue around 7 a.m., crashing into a Toyota pickup truck and then hitting an Orange County Transit Authority bus.

The Tesla was traveling west when it ignored the traffic signal, colliding first with the pickup truck. The impact sent the Tesla careening into the side of the bus. Authorities reported that a female passenger in the Tesla was declared dead at the scene. The male driver suffered severe injuries and later died at a local hospital.

In addition to the fatalities, five passengers on the bus were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The Fullerton Police Department is still investigating the incident and has not yet determined if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. The identities of the victims have not been released as authorities work to notify their families.

This incident highlights the ongoing concerns about traffic safety and the consequences of running red lights. As investigations continue, the community is left to mourn the loss of life and hope for healing for those affected.
