Florida Man Arrested for Allegedly Making Threats to Kill Trump

A Florida man was arrested on Friday for allegedly threatening to kill former President Donald Trump in posts on social media. Glen DeCicco, from Jupiter, faces charges for making written threats, according to the Jupiter Police Department.

The investigation began when police were alerted to a concerning Facebook post. Officers reviewed DeCicco’s social media activity and confirmed he had made threats directed at the President. As part of the investigation, the police department collaborated with the U.S. Secret Service.

DeCicco was interviewed by both police and Secret Service agents without any issues. The police emphasized the importance of public tips in such cases, and Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi thanked the Jupiter Police for their swift response. He noted that threats against the President or anyone under Secret Service protection are taken very seriously.

This incident is not isolated. Just recently, another Florida man, Shannon Depararro Atkins, was charged for making violent threats against Trump on Facebook. In July, Michael M. Wiseman was also arrested for similar threats against Trump and now-Vice President JD Vance.

These events highlight ongoing concerns regarding threats made on social media, particularly against public figures. The authorities continue to encourage the public to report any suspicious activity.
