Son Arrested in Connection with Parents Murder in Azusa Residence

A tragic incident unfolded in Azusa, California, where a man has been arrested for allegedly killing his parents. Gabriel Contreras, 28, was taken into custody after police responded to reports of screaming coming from a home on North Twintree Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered the bodies of Linda Rodriguez, 50, and Arthur Contreras, 58, both suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The police received the emergency calls around 2 p.m. on Saturday, leading them to the scene where they found the parents already deceased. The Los Angeles County Fire Department pronounced them dead shortly after their arrival. An investigation revealed that Rodriguez died from a gunshot wound to the head and several sharp force injuries, while Arthur Contreras succumbed to multiple sharp force injuries.

Gabriel Contreras was found outside the home with serious stab wounds. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Following his recovery, he was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two counts of murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently being held in Pomona Municipal Court with bail set at $2 million.

The case has raised concerns in the community, prompting discussions about domestic violence and mental health issues. As investigations continue, the authorities urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
